It's a house raising!  After a few months of horrible weather, waiting for building permits, soil tests, septic analysis, et.,  we finally broke ground for our home on February 8th!  The slab foundation has been started, and they are pouring the forms this week.  The septic install will go in next, along with the plumbing rough, and then FRAMING!!  Mark and I are so excited to begin this journey.  As anyone who knows coming before us...designing and building a home from the ground up can be a stressful time.  It's an exercise in patience; teamwork and learning to compromise everyone involved in the process walks away happy (and still married).  We welcome you to follow our journey as we build our little farmhouse...from the beginning to the end (if ever an end comes).
